The
market is taking a beating this morning as investors are anticipating
news from the Feds. Investors are clinging on to the hope that the
Federal Reserve will approve of some form of stimulus. “People are
looking for some comfort from the Fed,” said Rick Fier, director of
equity trading at Conifer Securities LLC in New York. His firm oversees
more than $12 billion. “Just adding to the Operation Twist might not be
enough to make them happy. They would like to see something more coming
out of the Fed. We’re of the opinion that they are not going to get
that.” The Fed will probably decide today to expand Operation Twist
beyond $400 billion to spur growth and buy protection against a deeper
crisis in Europe, according to a Bloomberg News survey of economists.
The program, which seeks to lower borrowing costs by extending the
average maturity of the securities in the central bank’s portfolio, ends
this month.”
Anticipation is building up and we will know the result of this Federal
Reserve meeting shortly. If the Federal Reserve just adds stimulus in
the form of expanding operation twist, we could see some upset investors
and some further market pull backs. Though, the affects in the long run
will be a stimulated market. Operation Twist is a very simple process
where the Feds take their medium-term bonds that have low interest rates
near zero and sell them and use these proceeds to buy long-term bonds,
such as 10 year treasuries. This allows for an increasing in the
monetary supply. In theory this should drive down interest rates on 10-
year bonds. Plenty of other interest rates like mortgages are tied to
the 10-year rates. So this would be a move to further drive down
interest and ultimately stimulate the economy in the long run. What investors are really hoping for is another round of quantitative easing. A round of QE is a much more simple process where the Feds stimulate the economy by printing money out of thin air and it having its largest effect on the short run. The issue with this is inflation and with every extra dollar printed is that people lose money on their dollars. The decision is going to be a difficult one. Another round of QE will send gold and silver surging upward while operation twist will simply lift the asset up and not send it through the roof tops. Regardless of what happens we are looking at a pretty hefty increase in the price of gold and silver. With prices so low right now it is a good time to invest. This window will not be open for long as the Feds are meeting to determine the future of the U.S. economy and investors are anticipating their decision.

What Are The Best Choices For A Gold Retirement?
Are you trying to figure out what are the best options available to
you for a gold retirement future? Do you want to invest in gold but you
really just have no idea where to begin or what you should be doing?
That’s understandable if you’ve never invested in gold, so please pay
close attention to the things you’ll be reading in this article because
it will help you out tremendously in this area.
One of the best ways to start a gold retirement investment is to begin buying gold coins. You can buy these gold coins from the standpoint of a collector where you look for coins that are very rare because those will be really valuable and you’ll have a real chance at making some good money off of those gold coins. So that is one definite option available to you that you might want to look into.
Another reason why you might want to buy gold coins for a gold retirement investment is for the actual gold content of the coins itself. These coins usually have one amount at face value because that’s what they were worth when they were originally minted. But the value of that gold has gone up tremendously since then so the content of those coins are truly what make them worth so much more than what the actual printed dollar amount is on the face of the coin.
Another good opportunity for gold retirement investing is to begin purchasing gold bars. Gold bars are a tremendous investment and one that you will truly gain great benefits from as a gold investor because they will certainly go up a lot in value as time goes by. So don’t hesitate to invest in gold bars if you are looking for a good way to retire off of the money you make from gold.
A gold retirement is definitely a good way to retire so you certainly want to make it part of your investing now so that it could pay off dividends when retirement age hits. So don’t hesitate to invest in this amazing precious metal today.

Should you invest in gold bars or coins?
When on the topic of investing in gold, bullion is usually what comes to mind. Unfortunately, many people make the mistake of believing that all gold bullion comes as gold bars. As such, when people are advised to buy gold bullion, bar sales rise dramatically.
The truth is, gold bullion can come in many forms. One of the more popular is gold coins. There are a variety of gold coins available, such as American eagle gold bullion coins that were minted specifically for making gold collectible in a form that could represent and retain its value.
But the question is often asked "why are people more interested in coins than bars these days?"
The answer is, logistics. It's easy to measure and easy to transport. In these tumultuous economic times, people are worried about what the future may have in store. They want to be able to have something of value on hand, that can't disappear due to changes in the market.
Many people also feel that coins are easier to sell than bars. When you're buying gold as an investment, you want to be sure that you can get cash out of it quickly if and when your moment of need arises. Whether that moment is during your retirement or during a crisis makes little difference. The important thing, is that you'll be able to turn that gold into something of value when you need it.
Gold bullion selling is pretty simple. It can be done through brokerages, for a fee, online, and scrap gold can be sold through the mail (though this is far from the preferred method of selling gold). There are also many local options when selling in smaller amounts, such as pawn shops, certain jewellers, and even some banks.
Gold coin investment opportunities are easy to find. Whether it's eBay or television commercials, there is no shortage of opportunities to buy gold coins. You can even buy gold coins on television shopping channels.
So does this mean that investing in gold bars is a bad idea?
Certainly not! Gold bullion bars are great as far as investments go, but it depends on why you're investing. Different people have different goals for their investments. Sometimes people like having the large nest egg in their vaults or tucked away in safety deposit boxes. It's a comfort for them to know that their collection of gold is always growing in value and that they can look forward to retiring comfortably.
These are people who aren't looking for fast action or instant liquidity in moments of need. They're investing for the long term and find gold to be a safe bet of rising values. Both today and down the road.
Regardless of your reason for investing, gold bullion, whether in coins or bars is a solid investment. To put it quite simply, it has stood the test of time. In regards to investment, gold is the closest thing we have to a sure thing.

Gold Investing is More Popular Now than Ever Before
Many of the people investing in gold today are not the traditional buttoned-up investment types of people either. These are people who have grown increasingly mistrustful of governments that continuously manipulate the value of paper money and interest rates. They've become disenfranchised to a degree with the rates of inflation, the idea of deflation, and trying to pay their bills and just get by. With a fractional banking system, many believe that these problems can only get worse and any improvements in the economy will be minor and short lived. More and more of these people are searching online for the best place to buy gold bullion. Many of them are also interested in where to sell gold bullion.
These people are not at all interested in learning more about the gold bullion IRA accounts or gold futures they can have. They'd rather just invest in gold. Real, physical gold, with the understanding that if the worst case ever does take place then they are prepared to deal with the financial fallout of an economic collapse and will have something of value to exchange for goods and services. Many people lately are even changing their 401k to gold.
For people who fear the governments and the growing control the governments are taking over all things money, a single gold bullion ounce represents security and even freedom. This isn't about increasing their net worth or filling out their portfolio. This is about survival to them, pure and simple.
It's possible to find gold bullion coins for sale that are fairly easy to transport and store as well. The problem most people come across with gold bullion selling and buying is that they must go out of their way to make the transactions. When you buy gold bullion bar online you can get Canadian gold bullion for a decent price as far as shipping is concerned. You can also buy gold bullion direct from local retailers that specialize in gold coins as well as gold bullion brokers.
It doesn't matter why you've made the decision to buy gold bullion or what the gold bullion index has to say about the value of gold bullion today. What matters is that you are able to get the amount of gold coins or bullion you feel you need in order to feel financially secure today and in the future. There's a lot of gold bullion selling going on across the world. There's no reason you can't get in on it and enjoy the peace of mind that goes along with feeling that your family's financial future is secure.
